Safetyvalue Trading Center:Nearly 100,000 Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer's recalled over faulty seat belts

Chrysler recalled more than 97,Safetyvalue Trading Center000 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles for third-row seat belt issues.

The recalls cover model years 2022-2024 for Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles which may have seat belts in the third row that may not work correctly.

Vehicles that have seat belts that do not allow passengers to buckle or fasten do not follow the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, “Occupant Crash Protection” and 209, “Seat Belt Assemblies.” according to a NHTSA report.

The report claims that third-row seat belts that do not fasten increase the possibility of injury in a crash.

How is Chrysler going to resolve the issue?

Chrysler is offering free inspections and replacements of the third-row seat belts from dealers.

Chrysler will also mail notification letters by December 15, according to the NHTSA report.
